Chess

• Touch move: If a player touches their own piece, they must move it if it's a legal move.
• Timings: Equal time on clocks; players must bring their own clocks or app. Total match time: 15 minutes with 3-second increment.
• Illegal moves: Disqualification if pointed out by arbiter/opponent after pressing the clock.
• Draws: Can end by agreement, stalemate, or threefold repetition (followed by 3-minute blitz games).
• Knockout system, no leaving seats, 15-minute tardiness rule results in disqualification. En passant is NOT valid.

Note: All categories will have separate teams for both girls and boys unless stated otherwise.
